My name is David Nicholson and I have been poker proffesionally for 2 years. I have been blogging for nearly all this time at the hompage of a Card Club in HARROGATE, UK where i started playing about 5 years ago with my best mate and poker superstar Jamie \”theGrooouuuch\” Sykes!

Relations with that club are still strong, but most of the people who I started to play with who were monitoring my progress carefully have left there now so it seemed like a good time to move elsewhere and hopefully reach a few more people!

I play mainly on the internet – and have always specialised in HU play – started my BR back in the days when iPoker was bearable playing HU nlhe SNG\’s, despite having a sick nack for these, an option to xfer money from poker to sportsbetting meant I never really saw any of the profits AND as a result developed a VERY expensive habbit lol – now after tons of progression I play HU PLO ring games as my main game, whilst still playing a chunk of NL HU and even some 6 max when i feeling like getting owned a bit!

I also play a LOT of live poker as I live in the centre of leeds and the games can be incredibly good, start from 50p/£1 (basically like 70c/$1.40) and we can get games as high as £10/£20 ($14/$28) lol and there are some incredible characters that play these games!

playing £2/£4 straddled to £8/£16  fiirst player opens to £40 and gets 3bet to £150 striaght behind him. folds to the BB sat over £3k deep makes it £500 opener folds 3better player £2.8k calls. Flop 99K 1 club, BB open shoves for £2.3k (into £1.2k) and 3better calls.

I have gotten a lot out of my blog since i started it – good place to vent some frustrations and air some (sometimes controversial!) views, but mainly i will just ramble on about what i did, why it was stupid and how much the incident ending up costing me! 

2010 has been a sick sick year for UK poker and I think 2011 we are gonna abs CRUSSSSSSSSSSSH! 

Will attempt to post a review of cool hands played aswel but this can be a bit boring sometimes !
